The Carnival of Barranquilla over time has become one of the most important folkloric and cultural festivals in Colombia. Every year, one and a half million people, including visitors and locals, gather on the beautiful sandy beach to celebrate a party full of joy, music and fun. During these days of joy and authenticity, carnival-goers can enjoy the most typical characteristics of Caribbean culture.

Colombiamoda is held in Medellin, capital of Colombian fashion. Known as Colombia Fashion Week, it is one of the most important events of its kind in Latin America. One of its main objectives is to make Colombian and industry entrepreneurs visible. It has three important axes: fashion shows, commercial exhibition and knowledge pavilion.

Flower Fair Beautiful flowers decorate the streets of Medellin every year during the month of August. Thousands of people gather around this celebration created to remember, exalt and perpetuate the values of the Silletera culture of Antioquia. The Flower Fair is held every year in early August. It is a unique experience for any traveler, it is the largest outdoor flower show in the world, known as the Parade of Silleteros.

Cali Fair Cali is one of Colombia's main cities located in the department of Valle del Cauca. The Cali Fair has become one of the biggest shows in Colombia. The Festival is a showcase for the most colorful shows of salsa and international dances with hundreds of dancers from the most diverse origins.

Vallenata Legend Festival At the end of April, the Festival de la Leyenda Vallenata is the great celebration of popular culture in Valledupar. This is the main city of the department of Córdoba and is located in the northern part of the country, near the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

Carnival is a feast of various Christian countries, which takes place immediately before the Christian Lent (which begins with Ash Wednesday), and has a variable date (between February and March depending on the year). It traditionally begins on a Thursday Carnival combines elements such as costumes, groups singing songs, parades and street parties. In spite of the differences that its celebration presents in the world, its common characteristic is that of being a period of permissiveness and certain lack of control. In its beginnings, probably with a certain sense of modesty proper of religion, Carnival was a parade in which participants wore costumes and masks. However, custom gradually transformed the celebration into its current form.

Barranquilla, the capital of Colombia's Atlántico department, is a bustling seaport, bordered by the Magdalena River. The city is known for its huge Carnival, which brings together performers in extravagant costumes, elaborate floats and cumbia music. In the elegant El Prado neighborhood, the Museo Romantico displays artifacts from past festivals and exhibits by famous Colombians, such as writer Gabriel García Márquez.
